Currently, the production capacity of crude MDI at BASF Polyurethane Shanghai Co., Ltd. can't meet the company's sales demand in nearby markets. To address this, BASF Polyurethane Shanghai plans to improve production efficiency by upgrading bottleneck equipment that limits output per unit of time, so the production per unit time increases. They also plan to extend the operating hours of the nitrobenzene/aniline unit and the MDA/crude MDI unit from 7,500 hours per year to 8,000 hours per year, which will boost the capacity of the nitric acid unit, nitrobenzene/aniline unit, and MDA/crude MDI unit accordingly.
